Pieces is a collection of oil and acrylic paintings in which Zoë deliberately depicts only part of people's faces as a means to demonstrate that in the modern world, we may never know another person fully

By intentionally depicting only part of people's faces, Zoë calls attention to the pieces that are missing. Just as people may only notice things once they're gone, so too may the deliberate omissions lead one to question how well do we even know the parts that are visible
